Finding Moline’s Founders Meetups August 9, 2025
This Saturday, August 9th, you are invited to discover Moline, Illinois’ history with not one, but two eATLAS Adventures: Finding Moline’s Founders – 5th Avenue Adventure and Finding Moline’s Founders – River Drive Adventure! Learn about Moline’s original commercial district, historic buildings, and the city’s founders including John Deere, Porter Skinner, Charles Deere, John Gould, D.C. Dimock, and others. Moline Centre Program, Kirk Marske, and Renew Moline have created two incredible experiences, combining rich history, architecture, engaging trivia and historical photographs—guiding explorers on a walk through time, from Moline’s roots through its evolving future.
The River Drive Adventure kicks off at 11a.m. with a meetup at the Skinner Block Courtyard, 1520 River Drive in Moline. RSVP on Facebook here.
