the road to fulfilling your travel resolutions

The eATLAS Social Media Team’s New Year’s Travel Resolutions

Published on January 24, 2022

We are very excited for 2022, and hope that everyone will achieve their goals throughout the year. Here are some of our travel resolutions, which focus specifically on those journeys we would like to do with you in the coming year.

Take more walks

Given the current pandemic situation, walking around  cities has become one of the best and safest ways to travel and learn about them. And Chicago is a city with a lot of hidden gems to be discovered on foot.

So this year we will walk more – for health reasons too- but mostly because we want to get to know Chicago streets in-depth and tell you the coolest things that happen here.  We would love to become a reference for those looking to discover new things in the city.

Work on our social profiles

We believe that the best way to get to know more places in the city is through you. We would love for you to tag us, send us videos, opinions, experiences, places, captions, or suggestions about what you want us to talk about or investigate.

We’re  excited to hear from you!

Share fresh content

Another goal for 2022 is to focus on generating new content for, and about, our community, Chicagoans, and the cool and unusual events and activities for locals and tourists alike.

Keep an eye out for fresh, new  content  this year, as we look to become more of a local resource.

Introduce you to our Whoa! Guides

We are so grateful to all the eATLAS partners, participants and Whoa!Guides that made some of our most amazing moments last year  possible. In 2022, we plan to share more info about the people who create the tours.  What gave them the idea for the tour?  How did they decide to become a tour guide?  Where did their passion for the topic start?   What’s the story behind the tour? Hopefully, they will inspire you to learn more and download one of their tours. We’ll also be tagging the Whoa!Guides more frequently, so you can also follow them directly on their social media platforms.

Keep promoting tourism in cities through respect

We hope to promote great experiences, but with respect for those who are impacted by our travel and tourism, whether we’re in the city or enjoying nature. As part of the traveling community, our opinions will always be expressed with respect. We’ll be encouraging a positive, friendly and supportive environment,  staying focused on what’s important: having “Whoa! moments.”
