11 exquisite locations around Chicago for a superb Easter brunch

Easter Sunday is quickly approaching, falling on April 17 this year. Folks will be looking to resume their indulgences after 40 days of Lent. To help with that, we’ve compiled a list of restaurants from across the Chicago area that have something special in store for Easter brunch.

The places listed below have menus ranging from holiday-themed dishes added to their regular brunch fare to prix-fixe menus to all-you-can-eat buffets. All of them either require or request reservations, so be sure to act fast before they’re sold out.

Swift & Sons

The remarkable cuisine of Swift & Sons in the West Loop will feature an Easter brunch for $85 per person. Their delicious menu includes king crab crepes; country ham benedict’ smoked whitefish & salmon platter ; and steak and eggs. Be sure to make your reservation before they’re sold out!

Chez Moi 

Easter at Chez Moi happens in the evening. From 5:30 pm to 9 pm the French bistroChez Moi will serve their special Easter menu featuring leg of lamb, salmon and crab cakes a la Creole. Or, take a box-for-two for $99 and head home with deviled eggs, crab cakes, lamb stew, carrot cake, mini chocolate tarts, and a bottle of champagne. Be sure to check them out!

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba

If you prefer a more Iberian flavor, then Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba offers their tasty brunch for  $50 (two people) or $100 (four people). You can enjoy it from 9 am to 3 pm at their location, or if you prefer to dine at home, there’s a takeaway menu that includes chorizo mac n’ cheese, french toast, bacon wrapped dates, breakfast paella, and chocolate truffle cake.

Carnivale 

The colorful Latin fusion restaurant in the West Loop has a brunch menu loaded with classic tapas (coconut shrimp, papas bravas, salmon flatbread) and shareable plates (chicken and waffles, chilaquiles, arepa de choclo). If that wasn’t enticing enough, they’re also promising a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Etta 

Both Chicago locations (River North and Bucktown) are offering a prix-fixe brunch for $65 for adults and $25 for children. Starters include burrata and a strawberry rhubarb crumb bar, while entrees consist of traditional brunch fare (breakfast sandwich, crispy potato hash) with sides (maple-glazed bacon, grilled hanger steak and béarnaise) that are shared by the table.

Rewired Pizza Café & Bar 

In addition to their regular brunch menu, this intimate Edgewater spot will feature whimsical, cereal-based lattes and dishes inspired by cartoon characters such as Porky the Pig, Panchito Pistoles, and Bart Simpson. The Tom Lowery Trio will be on hand to play jazz standards.

The Signature Room at the 95th 

In addition to the incomparable views of the city and Lake Michigan, those celebrating brunch at the top of the John Hancock Building will be greeted by a toast of sparkling brut, followed by a main course of dishes ranging from cinnamon french toast and slow-roasted leg of lamb, with dessert options such as apple crisp or their white and dark chocolate mousse cake. The cost is $65 per adult and $35 per child.

Chuck’s Southern Comfort Café 

For $32 (adults) and $14 (kids 5-12), this Southern-focused restaurant in Burbank is offering a buffet that has options like bananas foster french toast, Cajun green beans, smoked ham with pineapple glaze, cream of poblano soup and mac & cheese. Desserts include an ice cream station and peach cobbler.

Chicago Street Pour House 

The Elgin gastropub will be serving a buffet of breakfast favorites for $29.99 (adults) and $7.99 (kids). The Easter Bunny will be on hand to pose for pictures and give out chocolate bunnies and Easter baskets to kids.

Lambs Farm 

Located in Libertyville, the non-profit Lambs Farm serves as a place for adults with developmental disabilities to live and work. Their campus includes businesses and attractions such as a petting zoo, thrift shop and pet adoption center. The Easter brunch buffet at their Magnolia Café and Bakery costs $27.95 for adults and $11.95 for children.

115 Bourbon Street 

For $39.95, this New Orleans-themed restaurant and live music venue in Merrionette Park will have a buffet, bottomless mimosas and the Easter bunny.  Their eight stations include numerous breakfast and lunch dishes, ham and roast beef, desserts and options for kids.
